About looking up to heaven:

Acts 1:10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 "Men of Galilee ," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." (NIV)

We look up to heaven for many reasons. We look up to heaven because heaven is where God and Jesus live. We look up to heaven because heaven is where God and Jesus stand waiting to help us. We look up to heaven because we know Jesus will return to us from heaven. We look up to heaven because we know Jesus is coming back to us. You won't see Jesus coming back from the center of the earth. You won't see Jesus again by looking at worldly things. We look up to heaven because heaven is our real home. We all may be citizens of a certain country, but all of us belong in heaven. In heaven rests our hope. In heaven rests our courage. In heaven rests our future. We are looking up to heaven because Heaven is where Jesus went and from heaven He will return. Keep looking up.
