About the Lord's handiwork:
Proverbs 65: 8 Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades you call forth songs of joy. 9 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. 10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. 11 You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. 12 The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. 13 The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing. Your wonderful God has created a precious and beautiful earth. The Lord's will in times of trial is for you soak up the beauty of His world. When you are outdoors, look up and see the beauty of His blue sky and the majesty of His billowing clouds. When you are on the beach, let yourself be immersed in the power of His seas. When you are in the meadow, feel the power of His hand in His grass and flowers. When you are in the field, let God direct your heart to His mystery making the wheat grow. When you are in the mountains, see the grandeur of God's power. When you are in the city, look at His energy, compassion, caring, and love for all the people of the earth. When you are in the desert, let Him show you the marvels of how He helps the plants and animals grow even in times of harshness. Do not let your eyes fall upon what man has made until you have received the joy of creation the Lord has made. Keep ever mindful how all of His creation, including you, rests in the palm of His hand.
