About love and knowledge about the future�

1 Corinthians 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (NIV)

Millions of dollars are spent world-wide every week to determine what will happen in the future. Everyone wants to know about what will happen tomorrow, especially for matters like the weather, finances, and major world events. If you had some kind of special knowledge about the future but were without love in your life, you would be only an empty shell. Certainly there is great power in knowing the future, but the power of knowing the future is of no importance compared to having love in your life. The power to do great works of faith is meaningless if your life is an empty shell without love. We are truly nothing without love. Love is the substance of God. Love is the substance of our life. Love truly connects us to God. Love truly connects us to each other. No matter how much power we have, power without love is no power at all.
