About merely wishing others would like you and love you�

John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (NIV)

As long as you merely wish others would like you and love you then they will likely not like you or love you. As long as you are passively "wishing" others would like you and love you, then you are caught up in being self-centered. Instead of being consumed with yourself, Christ wants you to like and love others instead of merely wishing they would like you and love you. Going out to find others who need His love and find your love expressed to them is within God's will. Sitting back and wishing others would find you and love you first, is not God's will for your life. The focus and emphasis of your life must not be upon yourself, but upon Christ and others. In the kingdom of God on earth, what others do for you is not important, but what you do for them is most important of all
