Matthew 5: 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (NIV)

You might have heard the joke about this verse. The joke is the meek shall inherit the earth because no one else will want it. In a twisted way, the joke is partially correct. In this world the maximum leader, the dictator, the power-mad and power-hungry leader either falls by his own actions, is killed off by his adversaries, or dies and is no longer the leader. In the world, the meek often have a lot more power than they realize. Yet, the meek have not yet inherited the earth. However, there will be a day when the power people will be put aside. On the day the power people become powerless, the small, the insignificant, and the humble will assemble before Christ. He will give the meek power to take over the world. What a great thought! What a great vision! In the meantime, have you ever noticed there are some successful people who seem to manage their lives and their affairs without making a lot of noise? Have you ever noticed there are incredibly successful people who are practically invisible because they do not seek the fame accompanying success?
