A Daily Devotional
About
our new way:
Romans
6:4 We
were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as
Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live
a new life. (NIV)
Our
life can get stagnate and stale. We can get trapped in a worldly lifestyle
leading to our suffocation and spiritual death or even leading to our physical
death. However, in Christ Jesus there is always a new way. In Christ there is
always a new way because our Lord is the Creator and from our Creator can come
newness in all its exciting dimensions.
Imagine you had to work on a job with so many rules and regulations you could not
remember all of rules and therefore you could not follow them all. Imagine on your
job you could do nothing without checking the rules and regulations before
beginning a task. Some persons in government agencies have jobs almost this
restrictive. Imagine your sense of freedom at working in a position where you
only had a few simple rules to follow.
Imagine you had to be on a strict diet and you were permitted to eat only five or six
foods. Imagine how tired you would get of not being able to eat anything new.
Now also imagine what you would feel to be released from having to check and
double check everything you eat against this old diet and all its restrictions.
In Christ there is newness. In Christ there is:
A
new contract.
A
new way.
A
new hope.
A
new spirit.
A
new enthusiasm.
A
new excitement.
A
new drama.
A
new approach.
A
new thinking.
A
new vision.
A
new goal.
A
new method.
A
new outcome.
A
new result.
A
new victory.
