A Daily Devotional

About peace from God:

2 Thessalonians 1:2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV)

Only from God can peace be found. Only God, only Christ, only the Holy Spirit can calm your nerves and soothe your soul. To understand you are to live in peace is good. However, your life is better when you actually live in peace transcending all understanding. The presence of Christ within your heart can put your mind at ease. Even when you face the worst troubles, even when you face the last days of your life on earth, you can find Christ who is the prince of peace. To find peace you can look upward toward Heaven or look into your heart. You will then find Him standing there giving you peace. God's power of love gives you an armor of peace against the arrows of the darkness. At any moment the dark forces of the evil one can strike you down, yet you can have a joy and a peace in your heart protecting you from the worry of an uncertain future.
