A Daily Devotional
About perfect health
Luke 7:21 At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. (NIV)
Perfect health. What a sweet thought! It seems some people do indeed have perfect health from birth. A few blessed souls are never sick a day in their life. For most of us, however, there are days when we are ill. For some, there is lifelong, chronic, and debilitating illness. We all want perfect health. If faith was the only way to perfect health the hospitals would all be empty and the churches would all be full. Perfect health may come to us for awhile but perfect health may not endure. Eventually, we all must die. When we are sick we must keep our eye upon Christ who is the Great Physician. When we are in pain and want relief, we must reach out our hand to Christ who takes away the sin of the world. Christ came to earth as the great healer. Christ did not come to do show business for the masses, but to heal them because they were sick. In the same way, Christ stands ready to help us in our healing process.
