More about receiving the Kingdom of God :

Luke 18:17 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." (NIV)

The kingdom of God is within you, yet you must "receive" the kingdom. You can receive the kingdom of God now within you, but you must become like a child to do so. Although the kingdom of God is within you, you must become different to receive the kingdom. You must open your heart to receive the kingdom of God like a child open's up to receive a gift or present.

Most children have incredible imaginations. Most children will believe what an adult would consider to be outlandish tales and incredible stories. A child is willing to believe because a child has not been jaded or hurt by the world. As a child gets older, the child becomes less trusting and less believing. As the child gets older still, the child gets even more skeptical. To receive the kingdom of God , you must go back in time and be open and trusting like you were when you were young and small. In Christ, you have a person you can open up to and trust. Christ is a person you can trust because He will never hurt you, abandon you, or disappoint you. Through Christ, you can find the Kingdom of God within you.
