About rewriting your life�

Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (NIV)

If you could rewrite the script of your life, would you? If you could time travel back in time, would you change anything? These are heavy duty questions. Our mistakes make us want to say "Yes, I want to rewrite my life." The answers, although easy to say, would not be so easy to do. For when we rewrite the script of our past, we start a cascading chain of events making our present very different. Perhaps in rewriting the script of our life we might make the present disastrous for us and perhaps even disastrous for the world. To change our present we would have to change the past. What we must remember in this exercise is how our yesterdays determine our present, and our present determines our future. If we have gained anything from our past, if we have learned anything at all about life, we should remember not to repeat yesterday's mistakes.
