You know you must persevere. You know you must do the will of God. You know when you have persevered and done the will of God there will be a reward. The secret, if there is a secret, to persevering and doing the will of God is to take your selfishness out of the picture. Take your eye off the prize and bury what you selfishly want. When you lose yourself in Christ’s love, care, and compassion then perseverance and doing the will of God becomes automatic.
