A Daily Devotional
About how seeing is not necessarily believing:
John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. (NIV)
You may long to see Jesus, but you must surely already believe if you long to see Him. There are others in your life who could see Him in this day and in this age yet who do not believe. Praise be to our blessed Savior when we do not need to see Him. We do not need to see Him for He lives within us every second we are alive. His kingdom is invisible, yet praise our Savior because His kingdom is accessible at any moment. We need Christ, not just for ourselves, but we need Him to feed those who we know are so lost and hungry for spiritual food. We need Him to give His living water to those who thirst. We must forget about ourselves. We must begin to feed and nourish those who can see but still do not believe. We must break down the walls put in place by Satan's powers of darkness. We must show others we love them and show them how seeing is not necessary for believing.
