A Daily Devotional
About the small things of day to day
living:
Matthew 13:31 He told them another
parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took
and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet
when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that
the birds of the air come and perch in its branches." (NIV)
Small steps lead to big events or accomplishments. Small invitations to Christ lead to big conversions. We too often get lost in everyday details. We too often fail to see the big picture of our life. We would live our life very differently if we could see how important we are to God, to His work, and to His enduring love upon the earth. We live moment to moment but we must strive to live each moment as if each moment is our most preciousbecause each moment is our most precious moment. We do not need to live each moment as if the moment is our lastfor if we have accepted Christ we have no last moments. The humdrum nature of life gets incredibly exciting when we see how the small mark we make each day can bring a soul to Christ. Our small mark can give someone the needed guidance to find His love. Our small day to day marks upon the cosmos can give others hope, life, and purpose through Christ.
