A Daily Devotional

This verse requires an exercise of our faith. To believe this verse requires we see over the horizon of our present world. This verse requires we see both what the world will become when Christ returns as well as His heavenly home in the here and now. If we look at the darkness of our world, as the world is today, we do not see much of the Lord’s purpose prevailing. When we look at the world or look at our own life we must see the "big picture." When we look at what will transpire in the world as God’s will unfolds, we will see how God’s purpose does prevail. Even in the small details of life, the most enduring and lasting plans are the plans set in motion by God. Man can plan and then create a monument, a work of art, a building, or any kind of "thing." However, no creation of man can match the beauty and grandeur we find in the creation of His handiwork, especially His handiwork within us and through us.
