About the power we have from Christ:

Romans 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. (NIV)

We all want power of some kind. We want power to be healed and to heal. We want power to deal with and overcome our pain, our suffering, our tragedies, and our circumstances. We all want the power to prolong our life and prolong the life of others. However, in truth, we are powerless. There are many circumstances in our life when we have no power. Indeed, in many circumstances we are powerless. However, even if we may be powerless in the physical world we are not powerless in the spiritual world.

Whenever we feel powerless, we must remember we have spiritual power to overcome even death, for in Christ we have eternal life. Although we did not deserve to be offered eternal life, Christ gave us the power to become immortal in our spirit by accepting Him as Lord and Savior. Not only are we given the power to become immortal in our spirit, Christ gave us the power to become immortal and live in paradise for all time with our suffering, pain, and heartache replaced by eternal joy and happiness. The magnitude of Christ's sacrifice for us cannot be fathomed. The magnitude of our being able to inherit eternity in paradise is to be treasured.
