About the size of God and our being forgiving
Psalms 103:11For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for
those who fear him; 12as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our
transgressions from us.
To experience the bigness of God in our life, we must be willing to be forgiving of those who have wronged us and who have persecuted us. To be able to forgive also requires incredible maturity on the part of the person who is hurt. To be able to forgive requires we open up a part of our heart to let the love of God come in and heal the wound and hurt we have experienced, and then we must let the wound heal and the hurt evaporate within us. Hurts which are not forgiven cling to us like a leach and draw out of us our capacity to know God, our capacity to know ourselves, and our capacity to know others.
