About thoughts of heaven and thoughts of earth�

Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (NIV)

We fill our minds with all kinds of thoughts. In times of crisis and adversity, seemingly against our will, our minds get filled with thoughts of fear, doubt, and anxiety. However, one of the beauties of our mind is we can choose our thoughts. Instead of letting dark thoughts invade our mind against our will, we can begin to think about heaven, about God, and about Christ. When things seem darkest here on earth, we can think about our beautiful future in heaven. When we are buried under the mountain of problems we sometimes have to face, we can think about the grandeur of God. We can think about how our comforting Christ is always with us when we start to think about how we are alone. We can think about our freedom to be all of who Christ wants us to be when life seems to have put us in a place where we have no choice. We can think about being forgiving in Him when we are wronged or slighted. When the world rejects us, we can think about loving those who the world rejects because He first loved us.
