A Daily Devotional

About the touch of God in times of strife:

Mark 8:22 They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. (NIV)

Whether you are aware of Him or not, God is close to you every moment. God lives within your heart this very hour. If you open your heart up to God, then His touch upon you and upon your life is real and alive. God is the being of ultimate love and He is always seeking to touch you in the tough times of your life. During the tough times, during the times of strife when your pain of living seems to drive out all your spirit, God will, in His love, do some of His wondrous work in you so you can maintain contact with Him. During the tough times, when you are overwhelmed with problems and pain, our Lord will give you His special touch creating in you the stamina and fortitude to stay His course. During the tough times, God will help you keep your heart and mind only upon Him. During the tough times, when you are weak and feeble, the Lord will touch you so you always know how much He loves you.
