About vision in poverty:
Revelation 2:8 These are the words of him
who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. 9 I know your
afflictions and your poverty--yet you are rich! I know the slander of those who
say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not be afraid
of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in
prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful,
even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. (NIV)
Monetary
poverty kills vision and brings blindness to the person who does not have
Christ. Hope can cease in poverty. Poverty brings fear and trepidation. The
ability to see past the present poverty is like being blind to the future. We
must realize the things of this earth, including the money we need to survive,
are not needed as much as we think. If we let our material poverty kill our
ability to see our future, poverty will have surely killed us in spirit.
With
Christ alive within you, you possess a vision within you. Christ's true and
glorious vision within you motivates you and propels you onward. Your vision
with Christ is seeing Christ waiting for you at the gates of Heaven. Your vision
of Christ at the gates of Heaven does not bring you an answer to poverty of the
pocketbook. However, your vision is absolutely necessary for you to see over the
pain and obstacles poverty brings in this life. Without Christ, you possess no
vision of a better tomorrow. With Christ, you possess a vision of infinite
tomorrows filled with grandeur beyond human words. Without Christ, you are
possessed with an unending bitterness with every thought of the future. With
Christ, you possess a peace beyond all understanding in all matters.
