A Daily Devotional Written By God

About the fruit of the spirit being goodness:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth). But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
