Romans 13:33 May the God who gives peace, be with you. (NIV)

Within the heart of sinful human beings, there is always the willingness to fight and go to war. Within the heart of sinful men and women, within the deepest recesses where we plot against others by thinking of ways to wage war, there is a glowing Light. Within the sinful heart of every person there is a voice calling out to the person to turn to God.

There is a voice calling out to you not to wage war. There is within you a prince of peace calling for the war to end and for an era of peace to begin. Each of us, on our daily path, encounters these forces of war and peace. Each of us can respond to the still small voice of love within us to let peace prevail. The nature of sinful man may be to wage war, but the nature of our redeeming Lord is to call each of us to peace.
