About what is above:

Luke 24:50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. (NIV)

We think about God being above us. We think about heaven being up in the sky. Of course, our feeble minds cannot easily conceive of the dimensions of God because God has no dimension. He is infinite. However, it is to our benefit and for our spiritual health to think about God being above us. What is above us is love. Our soul is sheltered from above by God's love. All the angels and angelic beings are above us calling our name and pouring out their protection over us.

If you look up to God with wanting eyes, He will draw you close to Him. If you look up to God with a thirsting heart, He will pour His living water over you. If you look up to God with a hurting soul, He will heal you. When you look up to God, your spirit has access to Him and can be immersed in His power. So much power is stored in God's heart for you, if you give Christ your life, Christ will give you a new life in return. All the love you have ever wanted, all the love you have ever missed, all the love that cures, heals, and regenerates is yours now, this instant, right where you are. Look up and give away your emptiness in exchange for His fullness of power, love, and grace.
