A Daily Devotional

To receive requires we are in a state or position to willingly accept what is to be given. To receive the love of God or the Holy Spirit requires we willingly and eagerly accept the terms God has established for us to receive Him. To receive Christ, we must give up all we have, all we own, and all we are�with eagerness. To receive Christ, we must also give up our sins, our unrighteousness, and our sinful way of life�with eagerness. In the supernatural Kingdom of God , we cannot possess our "stuff" of life and receive Christ at the same time. There is an antagonistic relationship between our natural world with our sinful human instincts, and the supernatural Kingdom of God . When we give up our sinfulness with eagerness, we come alive because we have put our life in a position to receive the Holy Spirit. When we give up or submit our sins and life to Christ in eagerness we receive eternal life.
