A Daily Devotional

Some of us talk to God in prayer. We have our lists of people we pray for each day. We pray for others, for the world, for our nation, for our family, and for ourselves. When we pray we also need to listen as well as talk. God can and does speak to us. In our prayer time we need to listen to the Great Shepherd. Our Christ Jesus knows our individual names. Of all the billions of people who have ever lived and will live in the future, Christ knows your individual name and He knows your life. Christ speaks to you each day more than you speak to Him. In any hour of darkness we tend to try and find our own way. But in your hour of darkness Christ can come through to us in the most dramatic ways. Then, when we hear the Shepherd’s voice, we want to follow Him.
