A Daily Devotional
About when you can't climb the mountain:
Deuteronomy 9:1 Hear, O
When there is no way to
climb the mountain, you must remain strong in heart, strong in soul, and strong
in faith. Even when you cannot scale the mountain heights, you can help others
along in their climb to the top. No matter how limiting your circumstances, you
must not permit yourself to feel self-pity. There must be no feeling sorry for
yourself about your circumstances. There must be no excuse made about your life
or your inability to do or be. Christ is not glorified by whining or making
excuses. Christ is glorified in the making of prayers for others. Christ is
glorified by blessing the life of others when you are not receiving the blessing
you think you want or need. When your own way is blocked, then you can still
point the way for others. You can use your wisdom and knowledge to help others
who need help. When you cannot move forward, you must accept things as they are.
You must glory in what is, rather than grieving over what is not.
