A Daily Devotional
About winning out:
1 Corinthians 15:54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." 55 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" (NIV)
Although wickedness and sinfulness lurk in the shadows ready to devour us, we can win out over wickedness and sinfulness. Although wickedness and sinfulness are setting arrows against the bow to take us down, when we accept Christ as savior and Lord we have everlasting life and we can become spiritually invincible.
When the foundations of your life seem to be destroyed, cling to the old rugged cross and you will survive and prosper in the age to come. When the arrows of the evil one have pierced your heart and soul and you are dieing from the grief, reach out and touch the cross. Touch the cross where His blood was shed for you. Touch the cross where His love remains for you. Touch the cross and win out over the darkness trying to defeat you.
