A Daily Devotional
About yearning to see Jesus:
Rev 21:3 "Now the dwelling of God is
with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself
will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of
things has passed away." (NIV)
Do you not yearn to see
Him? Do you not yearn to see a day when there will be no mourning or crying or
pain? Many of us yearn for the day of His appearing. In the distress of our present
hour, although you cannot see Him coming upon the clouds, you can feel Him in
your heart. Although there are times in your life when tears do flow, you can
feel His love helping you through the day. We are all humble and simple before
Himand He loves us. When the evil one has put you in a prison of grief,
Christ will come to set you free of your tears. When the arrows of pain and
suffering pierce your soul and you are bleeding, Christ is within you to bind up
your wounds. When your cup seems empty, Christ comes to you in the hour of your
deepest need. When you think you are alone and the loneliness kills your spirit,
Christ comes to show you He is always with you as your friend.
