A Matter Of Faith Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. KJV
A
Christian faith community is Christ's family of faith.
A person
is faithful to God in their life by attending church, by tending to the
needs of others before tending to their own needs, and by living every
minute as if the existing minute is their last before Him.
Doubt is
a plague upon faith.
All of us
need to profess our faith before others in some way.
Many of
our rewards for staying faithful during suffering come to us when we
reach Heaven.
Although
there may come a time when you could be a prisoner because of your
faith, Christ will keep you in His heart and in His hand every moment.
Although
we do not always see what and how God works, the power of love you exert
by standing firm in faithfulness surely unleashes His power in the
world.
Although
we may not be aware, faith makes the impossible a reality.
Although
we may not realize it, we all have faith else we could not function in
the world.
We might
think suffering has no purpose. However, if we think suffering has no
purpose when we suffer and "hang tough" for Christ, battles
are being won for Him.
Are you
seeking the kingdom of Heaven in a world of glamour and glitz? Are you
seeking the kingdom of Heaven in a world full of pain and suffering? On
one hand, when our faith is strong and our life is in one of those
phases where everything falls into place, we are not so concerned about
the kingdom of Heaven. However, what will become of you when the glamour
and glitz fade away?
As a race
of intelligent beings, without the capacity for faith, we would have to
spend all of our time and intellectual power continually checking and
verifying everything in our existence if we had no faith.
As a
result of our faith in Christ, God will never leave us or forsake us.
As a true
child of God, we must take the hard way out by putting all of our faith
and trust in God when we are full of doubt, uncertainty, and distrust.
As
difficult as it is to keep our faith during times of poverty and
suffering, remaining faithful can often be more difficult during times
of plenty.
As our
faith weakens in times of sickness and pain, we can be invigorated when
we look to Christ.
As part
of our faith carrying ability, we all carry mental pictures in our mind.
To live as a Christian, we must choose which pictures we carry for Him.
As
persons of faith, God empowers us to persevere in the difficulties we
face without blaming others for the difficulties.
As
persons of faith, we do not wage our personal spiritual war between good
and evil with bullets, knives, guns, and bombs. We wage our war against
evil with love, peace, forgiveness, and an iron resolve never to be
moved by evil.
As
persons of faith, we must continually take our life to Christ.
As we are
willing to stand up for God, God is faithful to us and He will stand up
for us only if we give to Him in undying sacrifice.
As we
count our blessings, our faith in God is renewed when we see His power
working in our life.
As we
grind out our daily life, we live not just by sight and sight's pure
reason, we also live by faith.
As we
lose faith, Christ gives us healing assurance in the middle of our
doubts created by our suffering.
As you
remain faithful in hardship, God does greater works through you.
As you
try to walk the narrow road of the faith, you can find strength,
courage, and Christ's sure hand reaching down to help you.
As you
try to walk the narrow road of the faith, you find strength and courage
through Christ's sure hand reaching down to help you.
At its
core, our faith goes against the worldly logic of wanting things for our
personal gain.
Be
faithful, even to the point of death, and Christ will give you the crown
of life.
Because
of our love for God and because of His love for us, our faithfulness
causes us to be morally bound to support and defend our faith at all
costs.
Because
our faith is so small, Christ calls us to recommit our life to Him over
and over again.
Because
we love God and because He loves us, our faithfulness to God causes us
to be morally bound to support and defend our faith at all costs.
In spite
of every suffering, because you do not lash out at God, but instead love
Him with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might,
your faithful act glorifies God in ways you cannot know or comprehend.
Before we
do anything in the Christian faith, before we do anything before God, we
must be honest.
Being a
part of a faith community helps you stave off the slings and arrows of
the darkness when you are in trouble.
Being a
part of a faith community gives you an opportunity to be more of His
child to His little ones, the people who really need Him most. This message was presented in April, 2013 as the Virtual Church message in Shepherd's Care Ministries virtual church site at http://www.shepherdscare.net |
