Life Is Precious Amidst
the tragedy and horror life sometimes becomes, life is still precious
because you and others are precious. In addition, the love of God
through Christ Jesus is living within you making life precious. When you
encounter a dark spot in your life you can find the love of God beaming
through every adversity, every pain, every suffering, and every
temptation. The love, kindness, caring, and compassion of God is so
powerful nothing can stop His love…except you. Amazing, isn't it. God
is the power of the universe but we can interfere with His power in us.
The test of our faith is whether we will continually search for and
affirm all those precious ingredients when we are under so many burdens.
When we are buried under the burdens, we must call out to Christ. We
must pray, even when we think we do not have the power to pray. We must
pray even if praying for us at the time means just going through the
motions. We must pray in our afflictions, even in our doubt, we must
pray because Christ hears us. We may never get the answer we want until
we see heaven. Nevertheless, we must keep the faith. Keeping the faith
while we are buried under burdens and afflictions means we really do
believe and seek out the preciousness of our life. Keeping the faith
while being buried under our burdens sends a message to the world…a
world we may never know. Don't say it isn't possible. Don't say your
keeping your faith in your little life doesn't mean anything because
keeping your faith is seen and known by God. If you carry your burdens
for others, then God will empower those people because of you. Through
God and because of Him, we can connect to every person on earth. Through
God and because of Him, your hour of prayer you spend talking to Him
reverberates all over the globe and in heaven. When we see, know, and
absorb the precious nature of God in all things, the absorbing of God's
nature is broadcast to all people. Of course, these things may sound
impossible. However, with God all things are possible. As
we walk away from a gravesite we can still look up and see God's clipper
ships of vapor floating across the sky. As we sit at our window while
consumed with grief, we can hear the barking dog and the meowing cat.
When we see no light at the end of the tunnel, we can smell the aroma of
freshly cut green grass. When we are certain we see the end of our days,
a newborn baby cries and our heart forgets its pain. In most of us,
there is a divine touch telling us life is precious. We instinctively
respond to the Lord's voice and we affirm life goes on into infinity
with God. Life
is precious, and if we tell the truth, we do not want life to end. Life,
even at its worst, carries with it an energy keeping us moving. The
tragedies of life cannot defeat life. Instead of defeat, the tragedies
of life show us how precious life is now and will be into our future. We
grieve when life ends for one of our loved ones because the precious
spark from the Lord's hand has left the person. We want life to continue
even at our worst moments. In life, we have the potential to carry a
hope that cannot be extinguished. The preciousness of life carries with
it a seed for greatness based upon humility. Life is precious because
life carries with it the spark of God. Life
is precious because we know there can always be a tomorrow. Even if our
tomorrows look bleak and clouded over in the shrouds of death, we are
not fazed by the prospects of death. We are not afraid of death because
Christ considered each of us so precious He died on the cross to give us
life everlasting. John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. This message was presented in June 2012 as the Virtual Church message in Shepherd's Care Ministries virtual church site at http://www.shepherdscare.net |
