Reflections Of The Soul Your Importance Never
undervalue your importance. You may be the only contact others have with
the peace and love of God. The simplest smile, the smallest gesture, or
the smallest touch of the hand, can turn a life of darkness into a life
full of God's light and love. So many lives are caught up in darkness of
every kind that many have come to believe the darkness is normal. The
darkness engulfs so many souls the smallest action on your part can give
others enough light they can find our Savior. Fear Free
floating fear in the heart and soul can be the result of no healing love.
You hold the keys to God's kingdom within your soul. Regardless of
consequences, you must make every attempt to bring the healing love of
Christ to the hurting and broken people in your life. Ripples We
all plant many seeds in the hearts of our families, friends, co-workers,
and others in our life. We cannot see the importance of our acts. We
cannot see the consequences of our life in the world. A stone thrown into
the center of a pond sends ripples out many times further than the initial
contact point. Likewise, the light you shine in the life and heart of
others ripples out throughout the world and throughout the ages. When you
do not send out ripples of Christ's light out, only a void full of
darkness exists. Surrendering Learn
to live in peace, harmony, and the love that can come only from a
surrendering spirit. Give up to Christ all you are and all you have.
Surrender your all to Christ. The more you try to keep yourself for
yourself, the darker your heart becomes. Giving away and surrendering up
your life to God opens the door of your heart to His infinite love. Open
your spirit and soul. When you open your heart, mind, and soul to the
touch of God you will find peace, love, joy, and the infinite riches God
has placed within you. Thanksgiving Thanksgiving
is not just a holiday in November. Living in thanksgiving is a life-giving
process of surveying the wonders of God's beautiful love. Living in
thanksgiving is a spiritual lifestyle lifting your soul up toward heaven.
Living in thanksgiving is the ability to see the small flickering lights
of love in the heart of little children. Living in thanksgiving is the
process of waiting on God long enough to see Him work in situations,
places, and lives where there is no earthly hope of ever seeing God.
Living in thanksgiving is a process of counting the marvelous blessings
God has given us as our heart aches from the traumas and the tragedies of
life. Trust Every
heart can sing and sail toward God if we are willing to trust God with our
heart. To trust God with our heart means we must open ourselves up to Him.
To trust God means we let Him surround the pain, anger, bitterness, and
rancor within us. His loving touch, if we will take the darkness of our
heart to Him, will heal us. Turning Away The
willing suffering of Christ on the Cross was done so your own present
sufferings would not have to be carried any more. Christ's sufferings for
you were meant to take the searing pain away from you, if you will only
turn away from bitterness and anger. Repentance is not just a process to
confront our own wrong doing, but also a process to confront what wrong
doing from others has done to us. Others can inflict wounds on us causing
our heart to remain torn. When our heart is torn, the repenting we are
called by Christ to do also helps us expose the wounds in our heart. We
are called to turn away, not just from our sins, but also from the effects
of the sins of others. No matter who we are or where we are in our life,
we must turn away from the darkness. Turning away from the darkness may,
for you, be a daily requirement. Some wounds, regardless of the source,
are so deep a lifetime of daily turning away may be required. Repentance
for some may take the form of a daily battle against the powers, forces,
and evil spirits inhabiting this world. All have sinned and fallen short
of the glory of God. Some have sinned because of the hurt, degradation,
and violation of their spirit by others. However, repentance or turning
away from the soul stealing sins committed against us is the same kind of
turning away we must do with regard to our own sin. The message appeared in October, 2010, in the Virtual Church web site at http://www.shepherdscare.net
