Topic: Receiving His Christmas Treasure

God caused Christ to be born. God sent Christ to us as a treasure of hope, love, and salvation. If we reject Christ we lose out on finding hope, finding love, and finding salvation. For every person, even those who do not love or accept Christ, Christmas can still bring to them a sense of hope, a sense of love, and an idea there may be a way to find guaranteed eternal life. God gave. We must try our best to receive. Receiving Christ’s Christmas treasure is not always easy. Receiving Christ’s Christmas treasure is not easy because in receiving His treasure, much is required of us. To receive His Christmas treasure of eternal hope we must give up our earthly hope in exchange for His heavenly hope. To receive Christ’s love we must give up the idea true love exists here on earth and embrace the idea true love comes only from Him. To receive His gift of salvation, we must give up on the idea we can gain eternity by trying to be a good person and accept we are a sinner. Then we must turn away from our sin and accept Him into our heart and life as Savior and Lord. When we turn away from our sin and accept Him as our Savior and Lord we truly receive His Christmas treasure.
