Topic: When Christmas Doesn’t Matter To some people, in many ways and for many reasons, Christmas doesn’t matter. Illness, loss, changes in life, finances, and for many other reasons, the meaning of Christmas gets buried under the avalanche of problems life can often bring. It is important to tell the truth when Christmas does not matter. If we face the truth Christmas does not matter to us, we can then begin to see how Christmas can matter, even in the worst of times. When Christmas does not matter, we must realize Christ came into the world for people who are living at a time in their lives when Christmas does not matter. Christ came into the world to be with people who are buried under an avalanche of pain and problems. When Christmas does not matter to you, then you need to step back and hold the baby Jesus for a few moments. When Christmas does not matter to you, then you need to forget about all the tinsel, lights, and trappings, and visit the manger scene. Visit the manger scene and see Him wiggling His little fingers and moving His little feet. When you visit Him in this way, soon you will understand. Soon you will feel His love because you have come to love Him.
