Topic: When Life And Christmas Change Beyond Control

As we move though the various passages of our life, our life can change, often in dramatic fashion. Changes in life can be very upsetting when we come to the holiday period. However, just because we have to face a change in our life that is difficult to make does not mean we have to let the change diminish our life or diminish our joy at Christmastime. You might have a circumstance where celebrating anything, let alone Christmas, is the last thing you want to do. If this is the case for you, then you must push hard to make sure others celebrate Christ’s birth to the fullest extent. When we have to undergo a painful time, especially during Christmas, we can get tremendously selfish. To counteract this selfishness, we must, we absolutely and positively must turn outward instead of turning inward. It may take a great deal of effort on your part, but find a way to give and give and give this Christmas if this Christmas may be a time of emotional pain for you. Finding a way to give may take longer than the actual giving, but the effort on both counts will be worth its weight in gold within your heart. You must do all you can to find those parts of your life you can change and then make those changes. Because God is so powerful, what could be a most painful Christmas, can turn out to be a joyous Christmas. Certainly things may be different than they have been before, but different can still be a time of giving to others.
