Topic: Loneliness

Loneliness can and does eat away at us like a cancer. Loneliness can destroy us. Loneliness can turn us inside out and twist our heart, mind, and soul into an unrecognizable mass of pain. We all experience loneliness. We have all experienced loneliness in the past and we will all experience loneliness in the future. What are we to do about loneliness? In terms of our spiritual life, we must understand we need never be spiritually lonely. For when we open our heart up to Christ, He is with us and He will stay with us forever. When we are lonely, we must realize Christ is standing next to us every minute. When we are lonely, we must realize Christ is pouring His love over us every minute. When we are lonely, we must realize Christ wants us to talk to Him and He wants us to listen to Him talk back to us. When we are in Christ, the pain of our loneliness can be washed away. When we are in Christ, we have reached the pinnacle of being connected to the power of love in the universe.
