Topic: Persons Of The Bible - Jochebed The name "Jochebed" is from the Hebrew name יוֹכֶבֶד (Yokeved) which meant "YAHWEH is glory", "Jehovah is her glory", or "whose glory is Jehovah." Jochebed was the wife of Amram, and the mother of Miriam, Aaron, and Moses (Num. 26:59). She is spoken of as the sister of Kohath, Amram's father (Ex. 6:20; comp. 16, 18; 2:1-10).
