Topic: Why Jesus Was Born Obviously, we are not like Him, but He is like us. To say we are like Him is an effort to take ourselves and elevate ourselves to His level. The facts are that He lowered Himself down to our level in an effort to help us gain entrance into His home when we die. He lowered himself down so we could be raised up. Christ came into our world two thousand years ago and has remained in our lives because He loves us. Christ loves us not because we loved Him first.
